Love

Today was my cousin's wedding. My family from all over the world came to see this special event, and it was a big success. Weddings to me, marks a special occasion in which a couple embarks on a lifelong journey towards happiness and self-discovery. Weddings are a perfect embodiment of one's unconditional love for others. When a bride first walks down the aisle, it is common for individuals to pay attention to the bride. However, when looking at the groom at the altar, one can see happiness in his eyes that is priceless.

Now, many philosophers have pondered what the meaning of life is... is it to be adventurous and travel the world, to live the American Dream and own a house with a white picket fence with children, or is it to obtain great wealth?

To me, success is determined by a person's passion to pursue their ambitions, and to love others unconditionally without reservation.

Life is too short to preoccupy oneself with material things. On your death bed, one doesn't ask for their riches, gold watches, or even their fancy sports car. Rather, an individual seeks to be surrounded by friends and family. Love is a tremendous force, that is able to move mountains. Love gives life meaning. In fact, Love is all around us.

One of my favorite bible quotes comes from Corinthians 13:4-8...

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
